The Company has an on-going budget for all Directors to attend appropriate courses, conferences and seminars
for them to stay abreast of relevant business and legislative developments and outlooks.
Role of the Chairman and the Managing Director
The roles of Chairman of the Board and Managing Director are separate and clearly defined. Dato’ Adnan bin
Shamsuddin, the Non-Executive Chairman is responsible for leadership of the Board. The Managing Director,
Dato’ Roslan bin Hamir is responsible to the Board for management, development and performance of the
Group’s businesses for those matters for which he has been delegated authority from the Board.
The roles and responsibilities of the Chairman and the Managing Director are clearly established and set out in
the Board Charter, which can be viewed on the ‘Investors’ page of the Company’s website.
